This kind of thing is always awkward to write, but here we go.
I’m a staff writer at New York. I write about various things for the magazine and its various blogs. Most of those things are about art, culture, and/or entertainment. I also occasionally take photos for them.
In the past, I’ve done writing, video, and audio for a bunch of other media outlets: The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The New Republic, Vice, WNYC, NY1, The New York Sun, and WBAI, to name a few.
I graduated from Harvard in 2008 and I’ve lived in New York City since then. But I was born and raised in Oak Park, IL and lived in Seoul for a while (I was working on my undergraduate thesis, which was about nationalism at a South Korean high school).
I love comedy, Twitter, and comic books. I run a single-purpose Tumblr called Famous Oak Parkers. I am also not a convicted felon.
